After I got dressed, I heard the wall shaking, my windows started to rattle and some of my picture frames fell. I thought we had we had a gusty wind, or maybe it was the construction people starting their work early on Pendleton Pike (I live in the Lawrence area) As I'm driving, I'm thinking, 'we could've just have an earthquake.' So I go into work and some of our regulars talked about the shaking and this guy named Randy, he announced that we indeed had an earthquake and i was like 'huh? in indiana?' And after that, more and more people came and talked about it. oh and at around 11:20, I felt the aftershock. that lasted about 10 seconds. what an unbelieveable day!!! I felt the shake, looked straight ahead at the fireplace and noticed the mirror above it was shaking like crazy. I was worried it was going to fall. I looked at the dog--he had a funny look on his face. Just then, my 17 year old daughter came downstairs--it woke her up! A few minutes later, my husband comes down to the kitchen. I asked him if he felt the shake that seemed to be about 20 seconds long. No surprise, he didn't notice a thing. He has always been alittle clueless. He looked at me like I was nuts (again)! I am from the west coast so I knew it had to have been an earthquake. It sounded and felt like a semi truck was driving in between our house and the neighbors house. I live in Noblesville. Thankfully, the first thing I do every morning when I reach the kitchen is turn on your TV station. When I noticed that you all noticed it too, I knew I wasn't nuts and neither were my dog or my daughter, but my husband is clueless. I was just up, making coffee.
