My son Graham and I ran the famous “500″ Festival Mini-Marathon this weekend. It was very dramatic, what with that photo finish and all. I figured a three-way tie would be disruptive to the sport, so I let those two guys from Kenya go ahead and grab the gold. You’re welcome, fellow runners. It was, as most May Indy events are, a Spectacle. Graham and I only had to go about three miles before….someone had to go. Without waiting on the Porta Potty line. No thanks, I’ll hold.
G and I were the subject of my friend Tom Davis’ weekly feature on WRTV’s “Good Morning Indiana” last week. Tom had done an entire piece on the use of apostrophes the week before, so he was desperate for material. I just wanted to get my kid on TV.
