Our Show’s In Jeopardy

If you’re new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
What is this man doing to this fake JEOPARDY board?  The answer is….setting it up for the first, and probably only edition of OFF THE CUFF JEOPARDY.  See the finished production here.  Make yourself comfortable, though.  It ended up […]

Show Us Your Bits

May 27th, 2008 No Comments

If this Post-Race post seems late…I was delayed by Ryan Briscoe,  who kept cutting me off in the WRTV Parking Lot.  We had words.
If you’re looking for awesome, high-definition race coverage, forget it—ABC’s been there, done that.  But I can offfer a couple of low-definition “500″ related CUFF segments that you can try to play […]

Dead Air

May 27th, 2008 No Comments

Been a bad blogger later, what with the month of May and all. Maybe just a bit over-scheduled. Maybe there needs to be software that reads what you’re thinking and then automatically uploads in convenient Word-Press-formatted thought balloons. With some sort of spell check, of course. The month brought some […]

Operation Restoration

May 15th, 2008 No Comments

I’m spending Thursday night/Friday morning trying to sleep out under the stars at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.  Or at least, under the clouds, and around the mud.  I’m giving up some creature comforts for a few hours to help call attention to those who are homeless in central Indiana.  Those people have always found help […]

Cell Show #31: Jason Priestley

May 15th, 2008 No Comments

The Rubicon Race Team bought lunch at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway yesterday. One of the owners is actor Jason Priestley. Jason’s only question before the taping began: “What’s a cell phone show?” Answer: A place to talk about golfing awards.

Cell Show #30: Tracking Tom

May 14th, 2008 No Comments

Finally, someone else to run the camera. Actually, it’s Tom Berg’s webcam, and we’re live on the set of the Track. I filled in on 107.9 The Track’s afternoon show Tuesday. To update an earlier post, we’ve put the 70’s project on hold for a moment. I’m trying to find some more […]

Miles Of Feet

May 13th, 2008 No Comments

On the latest CUFF, Tom socks it to the viewers with an unfortunately hyper-realistic representation of Marathon Foot Damage. If Casey Casem were here, he’d point out that this is the second appearance of host toes on the show. Last year I stomped all over an episode that I think was loosely based on The […]

Cell Show #29: Paul Poteet Loves The ’70s

May 9th, 2008 No Comments

107.9 The Track has been foolish enough to give me another radio outlet in Indianapolis.  Listen weeknights at 7 for “Paul Poteet Loves The 70’s.”  Or at least, that’s the working title. The “70’s at 7″ sounded too much like something on the “6’s” so we went from there.

Track-Berry

I’m not addicted or anything, but I did take a moment to take a couple of pictures during the segment of the Mini out at the Track Saturday. OK, maybe I called Mrs. Poteet also. But I didn’t do any texting.

Mini Happy Returns

May 5th, 2008 No Comments

My son Graham and I ran the famous “500″ Festival Mini-Marathon this weekend.  It was very dramatic, what with that photo finish and all.  I figured a three-way tie would be disruptive to the sport, so I let those two guys from Kenya go ahead and grab the gold.  You’re welcome, fellow runners.  It was, […]
