TGIF: The weather’s great, and the earthquake shakes. Where were you? COMMENT below.

Some emails:”Mary” was first at 5:45am…just 8 minutes after the quake.: My entire house shook!

Then the floodgates opened: Paul—I’m from California, and I woke up thinking I was back home….I’ve felt plenty of these quakes…I just didn’t think I’d be dealing with the possibility of a tornado and an earthquake in one week…

We’re from Marion County - the Castleton area. Whatever it was, it woke me up - almost felt like someone was stomping around in our apartment. The bed was shaking and the window was rattling. My husband and I speculated that it was wind or something, but looking outside - everything was still. It shook our whole apartment!***********

I don’t have time to copy and paste the 700+ emails from today, but I’ll add some more in as time permits.  Feel free to hit the Comment below and add your 2 cents.  Mrs. Poteet’s carefully arranged china cabinet is still slightly askew, and the cats are not quite themselves yet.

I was just up, making coffee. I felt the shake, looked straight ahead at the fireplace and noticed the mirror above it was shaking like crazy. I was worried it was going to fall. I looked at the dog–he had a funny look on his face. Just then, my 17 year old daughter came downstairs–it woke her up! A few minutes later, my husband comes down to the kitchen. I asked him if he felt the shake that seemed to be about 20 seconds long. No surprise, he didn’t notice a thing. He has always been alittle clueless. He looked at me like I was nuts (again)! I am from the west coast so I knew it had to have been an earthquake. It sounded and felt like a semi truck was driving in between our house and the neighbors house. I live in Noblesville. Thankfully, the first thing I do every morning when I reach the kitchen is turn on your TV station. When I noticed that you all noticed it too, I knew I wasn’t nuts and neither were my dog or my daughter, but my husband is clueless.

I had just gotten up and at first thought we were having just really bad winds or something! Turned on the radio and tv both right away. No pets here, just me and the house creaking!

Paul: Just experienced another tremmor @ about 11:15am, lasting about 4 secs. I was in the bathroom sitting on the throne LOL when things started vibrating. Needless to say, it got my attention. I watch you guys in the Am daily. I also heard the one in the am, when my windows started vibrating, I was half asleep, but thought it was the wind not realizing what it really was. I live on the south side of Indy.

OK, we can’t listen to radio here, and haven’t seen anything on the web yet, but four of us in our office here just felt another earthquake a few minutes ago. It seemed like it was stronger than the one this morning. Are there any more expected for today? This is really freaky!

I was up getting ready for work (Starbucks) and my puppy (whos normally sleeping) was going all over the place. After I got dressed, I heard the wall shaking, my windows started to rattle and some of my picture frames fell. I thought we had we had a gusty wind, or maybe it was the construction people starting their work early on Pendleton Pike (I live in the Lawrence area) As I’m driving, I’m thinking, ‘we could’ve just have an earthquake.’

So I go into work and some of our regulars talked about the shaking and this guy named Randy, he announced that we indeed had an earthquake and i was like ‘huh? in indiana?’ And after that, more and more people came and talked about it. oh and at around 11:20, I felt the aftershock. that lasted about 10 seconds. what an unbelieveable day!!!
