Breaking News: Diane Sawyer was back in her contacts today on “Good Morning America.” I think Diane is a looker, but those thick specs she sported yesterday made her a little Groucho for my taste (Minus the mustache.) Just my two cents.
Anyway, on GMA Di promoted a story by saying it was “truly Shocking, and we don’t use that word very often.” Excuse me? Seems everything in TV News comes attached to an helpful adjective these days. Shocking, sad, disturbing, blah blah. I was…uh…shocked she made the claim. The other interesting thing about the start of the show this morning (I don’t really ever get to actually see and hear more than a minute or two) was the correspondent concluding a Stock Market live report by noting “the recession won’t be as bad as people hoped.” Thanks for keeping Hope Alive! Good Morning ABC!
