Storms this afternoon could cause damaging winds around central Indiana. Keep up with today’s warnings here.Just looked at the latest “Truecast” data, which still has the cold front still moving through the state from around 7 to 9pm tonight. That’s when the wind gets even gustier, (typing that term was gutsy-is “gustier” even a real word?) and the rain changes to snow. Accumulations shouldn’t be a problem, but visibilities might be, because of winds gusting to possibly 50mph at times. Chills will drop below zero by late evening, and stay there through Wednesday morning rush hour. No precip Wednesday, but chills in the single digits and teens all day. Snow arrives Thursday evening into Friday morning. This time, Gulf Of Mex moisture looks ready to roll, meeting up with cold air, and, and …. well, it could be the biggest snow we’ve seen since December. Three to five inches is possible.
